Re: How to recover dead hellobox v5 plus
Was there ever a solution for this issue ?
I have tried the recovery bin on a usb stick changing the filename to auto_burn.fac with no luck !
I have also tried loading via computer using rs232 port . The loader sees the box but will not take the recovery file !
Any help would be appreciated :>)

1. Copy bin file to a USB device and change to the file name to "hellobox_V5_plus.bin"iggy57 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 26, 2022 10:32 pmWas there ever a solution for this issue ?

2. Insert the USB device to Hellobox V5 Plus Support and receiver
3. Connect Hellobox V5 plus with computer through RS232 cable
4. Run "WinSTBUpgrader.exe "on computer
5. Select and Open serial port
6. Click" download "page, select the config file " V5_plus_8M.xml "
7. Click" Start "
8. Power on Hellobox V5 plus, and wait ...
After upgrading is done, Hellobox V5 plus will reboot automatically.
Change to a Fat32 U disk to ensure that files are placed in the root directory (there are no other partitions)
